A Character Sketch on Queen Anne of Bohemia

Image
This Sunday my sister Emily did a Character Sketch on Queen Anne of Bohemia. We were all very amazed how she was an instrument that God used to protect the reformers in England, I think God can use us all to keep spreading His kingdom as we tell others the Gospel of Christ. Hope y'all enjoy!   Anne of Bohemia was the eldest daughter of Emperor Charles IV. Her brother was King Wenceslaus of Bohemia and Germany.  Her mother   was the fourth wife of Charles IV, the daughter of Beleslaus, Duke of Pomerania; and the granddaughter of Cassimir the Great, King of Poland, Anne was born in Prague, Bohemia, around the year 1366. Anne was taught the truths of the Scripture from her youth. There were a number of faithful Gospel preachers in Bohemia at that time including Conrad Strichna, Johan Melice and Matthias Janovius. Anne asked many probing questions concerning Scriptural truth. Anne was described as a Godly, intelligent young girl with an inquiring ...

Merry Christmas !

Image
A few days ago we went to the mall to find a  present ( just because we had a coupon ) . We hadn't been there for a year, so we didn't know what to expect, though having an idea how it would be for Christmas, we entered. As we entered, there were people walking briskly out the doors with there hands full of bags with presents. We walked along for a little bit, not finding really anything, then we walk out of the store. We had walked into the world, feeling so out of place, only one bag, not even full. We pitied them, sure that they had a mental list of things that their kids wanted ( Did I get Johnny's video- game ? Susie wants a tablet, and Tom want s.... You get the picture ) A lot of people  these days, especially shop-owners, make it a holiday frenzy, a time to make money. Time to get yo...

At the bottom of the post, there is a link to see what Douglas Wilson says to the question " Is C.S.Lewis a Calvinist?" Clive Staples Lewis was born on November 29, 1898 to Albert and Flora Lewis in Belfast Ireland. Albert Lewis was a solicitor whose father, Richard, had come to Ireland from Wales in the mid-19th century. Flora was the daughter of an Anglican priest. He had only one brother, Warren Hamilton Lewis. When he was four, his dog, Jacksie was killed by a car. Lewis told everyone to call him Jacksie, but later accepted Jack, a name he was known to his friends and family for the rest of his life. When he was seven, his family moved to Little Lea, the family home of his childhood. He said  " The new house is almost a major character in my story. I am the product of long corridors, empty sunlit rooms, upstairs indoor silenc...
