Merry Christmas !

A few days ago we went to the mall to find a  present ( just because we had a coupon ) . We hadn't been there for a year, so we didn't know what to expect, though having an idea how it would be for Christmas, we entered. As we entered, there were people walking briskly out the doors with there hands full of bags with presents. We walked along for a little bit, not finding really anything, then we walk out of the store. We had walked into the world, feeling so out of place, only one bag, not even full. We walked along, observing things as we passed. Most of the people we saw had a look of worry, impatience, stress and tiredness,with their hands full of bags overflowing with stuff. We pitied them, sure that they had a mental list of things that their kids wanted ( Did I get Johnny's video- game ? Susie wants a tablet, and Tom wants.... You get the picture ) A lot of people  these days, especially shop-owners, make it a holiday frenzy, a time to make money. Time to get your wallets and credit cards out, everyone!

Christmas is a time of spending time with family, of giving, love, joy, and to celebrate and meditate on the most important gift of all, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

An (Extremely) belated 4th of July post

Hey Y'all! As the title explains, I am (finally!)  posting about the 4th, a month later. I know, I know, that's procrastinating. I'm working on that, I promise! So here we go: We arrived rather late (whoops), and went immediately to play in the creek. Since there were some certain children that were splashing, I decided not to risk getting my camera wet.   My friends resting, staying hydrated. It was so hot that day! After a little while our wonderful planner Charity had some games prepared for the kids. For the younger kids, she had them painting, while the older ones were Tossing Water Balloons, volleyball, and . . . Sack races! Waiting for the race to start with anticipation. Watching the sack and three-legged race. We also had a pie competition. Panama, An (extremely) short summary

Hey y'all! I have meant to post this for such a long time, but I have been so busy with school, projects, papers, and stuff like that. But better late than never, right? First off, a big thank you to all who prayed for us!  To tell you the truth, my heart is torn now. I love my country, the USA, my friends, and especially my church, but I also loves my mom's home country, and all of my family. (Right now, this describes me perfectly :P It gets a little annoying, honestly. If I don't remember a word in English, I say it in Spanish. I wish Spanglish was a real language....) Our departure of the States was a huge miracle, and it would take too much time to tell you everything (though I wish I could, truly!). The plane ride gave me a lot of time to think about how really small and insignificant we really are. We, who are so little, are so beloved by the Father! What a thought! Prayer Requests for Panama

Hey guys! I just wanted to share a little bit of what's been going on now. Our lives have been turned upside during the last few days. But God has been with us through all. Tomorrow we board our flight to Panama I have a few prayer requests: -Safety as we travel. -May God allow us to be salt and light to my family in Panama. -Panama is a dark country.
