Trip to Kentucky, Part 1
Hey Y'all!
I guess I have been taking a break on blogging, so I will start up again with an account on our trip to visit our cousins in Kentucky.
On our way up there, we passed through ' The Gorge' in North Carolina. That was beautiful, even though there was hardly any leaves on the trees.
When we entered Kentucky, we immediately saw the rolling hills, and then when we were almost to our cousins house, we saw horse farms, and cattle farms. It was fun seeing all the cattle, though it did make me miss home, and being in the Blue Ridge Mountains. As we passed the horse farms, my little sister Gabriela would try to identify the different horses. The sky was beautiful, such a clear blue, which really highlighted the little bit of snow on the ground.
When we turned into the driveway, My cousins Kyle and Kaleb came running out to tell us where to park our car. Then we turned the corner then lo and behold! The rest of the family was there with a warm welcome (except for the little ones, they were in the sun room, and were laughing because I was making faces at them.)!
After supper, the kids took us downstairs to play. We played ping-pong, basketball, and Foosball, while the little girls Kezia and Ksena played with my mom in the dollhouse.
The pictures below were from the next day:
This is looking out from where the car was parked, we were so excited to see snow!
Their dog.
Looking out to their house from the chicken coop.
My cousin Ksena, she is adorable!
I then decided to take pictures of the view. As I took the pictures, I realized that the snow was beginning to melt, but did not lessen the beauty of the scenery by any means!
The girls on the top are my sister Emily (L) and my cousin Kailey (R), and you see a little black and pink jacket, that's Ksena. And the young man directly above is Kaleb.
I'll do another post on our trip to the Creation Museum.
