Trip to Kentucky, Part 2, Creation Museum
Hey Y'all!
I am so SORRY! I have basically abandoned y'all, haven't I?
To continue with our adventures in KY...
We decided that since we were already in Kentucky, we were going to the Creation Museum.
As soon as we entered the building, we were so excited. because we had been anticipating the visit for sooo long!
(These pictures are in the order I took them.)
This is in the front. As soon as we entered, we were like " Wow, this is going to be fun!"
Daddy looked at the time, and since it was about noon, we decided to have lunch first. Y'all, I totally recommend going to Noah's cafe, and getting the Creation bacon cheeseburger. It. Is. The. Best!
The planetarium was wonderful, and as we waited for another show, I took some pictures of fossils...
... and of some skeletons.
Goliath frog, this thing is huge!
Hippopotamus skull.
Human skeleton reading the Bible. Dude, I think it's a little late.
Chimpanzee.
African Lion skull.
Anaconda scull. Yikes! That's just the head!
These are just a few of the ones that I took pictures of.
The prophet Isaiah. We were so surprised that these figures look so realistic!
King David
The Apostle Paul
Martin Luther hammering the 95 theses on the front of the door of a church.
Life after the fall.
Genesis 3:16-19
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”
The construction of the ark. It was amazing! Most of the figures would move and talk, and I felt as if I was back in the time of Noah.
Genesis 6:1-8, 11-22
When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.
5 The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.
11 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. 13 And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. 15 This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark 300 cubits, its breadth 50 cubits, and its height 30 cubits. 16 Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks. 17 For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall die. 18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ark to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground, according to its kind, two of every sort shall come in to you to keep them alive. 21 Also take with you every sort of food that is eaten, and store it up. It shall serve as food for you and for them.” 22 Noah did this; he did all that God commanded him.
This is me, figuring out a quiz about the life of Noah. That was so much fun! Especially when it came to the part of Noah's wife's name.
And look who was over me!
This is Noah. Noah, these are my friends from my blog. You see that little black thing in the lower right-hand corner of this picture? That has questions on it, and you could choose what you what wanted to ask this gentleman, and he would look straight at you and answer (It was awesome!).
These next three pictures were taken by my Daddy. Isn't he good at taking pictures in low-light?
The Zorse and the Zonkey.
The camel...
... and the Alpaca. Isn't he cute?!
Goodbye, Creation Museum!
Now, a few pictures of my cousins.
Kezia, my little three-year old cousin. She is so,so sweet!
1st and 2nd cousins playing Foosball. That was so funny, to have Kyle and Kaleb (L) against Gabby and Ben (R)
Selfie with Kezia and Ksena.
Lovely Princess!
Ksena wanted to dress up, and of course, the little sister imitated her.
And here is the baby, Kinley! I was her first birthday the week we went, so we had to celebrate.
Kezia had to help with blowing out the candle to Kinley's cake, and she was so excited that she did it!
We had such a good time with them, and we really can't wait to go back and see them!
I hope you have enjoyed this!
