Hey.....

Hey y'all!
Well, I feel sorry for all of y'all. I haven't posted an actual blog post for.... a long time.

Yeah.

So today I am going to attempt to give y'all a quick summary of the past few months.
So, here we go!

May
We sold our house in December and had been living in a rental. In May, we finally bought a house. The house needed a bit of work, so we were driving back and forth from our rental to the house for about 2 months.

June-July
We went on vacation to Pennsylvania (the Amish country, specifically).
A few highlights of the trip:
We were down for breakfast at the hotel we were staying at. There were a few elderly ladies sitting at the table in front of us. They were so sunny, smiling, talking, and saying "Hi!" to practically everyone that passed their table. My mom asked them "Excuse me, where are y'all from?" They told us that they were from SC. We responded with excited tones that we were from the same state. And oh how they smiled! They began to just talk about their trip and where they lived with us, and seemed really reluctant to leave.
I got to spend time with some friends of ours, as well as to make a few new friends (and anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE making new friends!!!).

A selfie with my little sister while we took a break from staining floor boards (sorry for the poor quality).

One thing I learned this summer was this: Sometimes you need to take risks. Learn from your mistakes. The way I learned was by our upstairs floors. In my family we are all allergic to carpet. The whole upstairs of our house had carpet. The logical step was to remove it all and replace it with something else. Instead of going the usual route of hardwood floors for our upstairs we used plywood. We received a lot of advice against the use of plywood, but we needed something that was economical, fast and easy. We had seen a lot of articles on Pinterest that were successful, so we decided to give it a shot. I don't have any pictures of our floors, but they came out beautifully! They looked like barn floors because they were cut so wide. And the best part was that it was half the cost to do that than to have hardwood floors laid down.

August
I spent all of July and August doing summer school. Rather uneventful, but I learned sooo much! It was an online class that went Monday-Thursday. My teacher was awesome, and my classmates were amazing! They all made the class so much fun, and when learning is fun, it's easier to remember the facts (for me at least.).

September
I only had about a week of a break from school.
Then School started again, and I can honestly say that I enjoy school so much more this year than last year. I don't know why, but I do.

(but I did enjoy my Omnibus class so much last year. What I mean is that I am enjoying ALL of my subjects. Kind of. More than last year I mean.)

I recently have been getting into photography, and so I will share with y'all some of the pictures I have taken:

This was a sign that I saw while apple picking a few weeks ago. One of my favorite parts of fall is that we are able to go apple picking, and this sign to me basically said "C'mon y'all! Apple pickin' time! What're ya waitin' for?"

Well, there you go! That is a fairly quick summary of the past few months.
I know I have said this before, but I WILL try to be more consistent in my posting.
I hope you enjoyed this brief summary of a short period in my life!

Bye y'all!
