Camping

Hey Y'all! (Before I share about our camping trip, I have to show y'all a picture of the youngest child of some of my friends) Aww, isn't he adorable?!?!  (Sorry, just had to share him with you.) So, in the beginning of October, our church had a camping trip at a local State Park. I will admit, I did not take many pictures, because I was having a lot of fun. The few I did take were taken with all my readers in mind. It was an awesome time of fellowship, friendship, and eating.  I don't have many good pictures of our first night. David. Full of Drama. My gorgeous friend, Emma-Grace.  My friend Emma-Grace and yours truly! Nathanael, Emma-Grace's brother. The first night the campers from my church were kind of divided, because we were rather spread out. We were basically divided in two groups of three families. An (Extremely) belated 4th of July post

Image
Hey Y'all! As the title explains, I am (finally!)  posting about the 4th, a month later. I know, I know, that's procrastinating. I'm working on that, I promise! So here we go: We arrived rather late (whoops), and went immediately to play in the creek. Since there were some certain children that were splashing, I decided not to risk getting my camera wet.   My friends resting, staying hydrated. It was so hot that day! After a little while our wonderful planner Charity had some games prepared for the kids. For the younger kids, she had them painting, while the older ones were Tossing Water Balloons, volleyball, and . . . Sack races! Waiting for the race to start with anticipation. Watching the sack and three-legged race. We also had a pie competition. Here is one of the judges, overlooking the splendid array of artwork on the pies ;-) Each pie judge had their own "region" of pies to taste. The three judges discussing their favorit...

Trip to Kentucky, Part 2, Creation Museum

Image
Hey Y'all! I am so SORRY! I have basically abandoned y'all, haven't I?  To continue with our adventures in KY... We decided that since we were already in Kentucky, we were going to the Creation Museum.   As soon as we entered the building, we were so excited. because we had been anticipating the visit for sooo long! (These pictures are in the order I took them.) This is in the front. As soon as we entered, we were like " Wow, this is going to be fun!" Daddy looked at the time, and since it was about noon, we decided to have lunch first. Y'all, I totally recommend going to Noah's cafe, and getting the Creation bacon cheeseburger. It. Is. The. Best! The planetarium was wonderful, and as we waited for another show, I took some pictures of fossils... ... and of some skeletons.  Goliath frog, this thing is huge!  Hippopotamus skull.  Human skeleton reading the Bible. Dude, I think it's a little late.  Chimpanzee. ...
